Communication is the process of transferring messages from one point to another point. Data communication is the function of transporting data from one point to another. The electronic systems that transfer data from one point to another are called data communication systems, e.g. computers,terminals,peripheral devices such as printers,etc. Data communication technologies deal with the means of data transfer from one location to another location. The integration of computing technologies and data communication technologies leads to the development of computer networks.
